You can assume what you want, but if you reread what I said, there was not direct commentary that Republicans would solve all the problems. That doesn't change the fact that, using Dave and Mike's commentary about a budget, it's the Repubs that are doing what they are supposed to, the Democrats are not. You won't fix THAT problem by saying both are at fault. Again, as regards the budget, it's not all of the Congress, it's the Senate. If someone is predisposed against Repubs it's a dodge, that's my point. It's the same bogus deal we will be fed for the next 8 or so months. We're told over and over, though admittedly less in the past year or so, any number of statements that start with "The eight years of Bush...............", as if Congress doesn't play a roll. And almost nobody challenges those statements. Never mind that in 4 of those 8 years Bush had to deal with a fully Democrat controlled Congress. Now, with a Dem in the WH, we're told that the President is practically powerless because of a "Do nothing Congress", even though he had overwhelming majorities of Dems for 2 of the past 3 year, and only half of the current congress is Repub. Gee, if we take that seriously, maybe the current guy should call the former guy and ask him what the secret is to being a dictator that doesn't have to deal with Congress. That's my point, not flacking for one party, it's that the story and the national dialogue changes as to the source of the problem, which in tern influences elections. That of course is why it's done. Dismissing it as a "Blame game", or something to the effect of "Oh, all politicians are crooked" is willfully avoiding the responsibility to discern what the real activities are. THAT is what leads to decisions based on party loyalty, not individual ethics, performance, integrity, and the rest of the things that folks claim are important.
