The government doesn't have to do it, private citizens still care!!!!! Just watching the early news, a private organization in Sioux Falls is providing "brown bag" lunches to people who are trying to work their way out of poverty.... With nothing more then a poster at Job Service, folks who have been unemployed and find themselves a new job can stop by this volunteer organization and grab a free brown bag lunch to take to work with them!!!!
No big deal you say? Well, they put out 400 free lunches every day for these new hires, and if you've been one of the folks unemployed for anytime at all the free meal probably helps a lot. The contents of the lunch would cost you about $6.00 per day or $30.00 a week---for those just going back to work, 30 bucks a week can be a lot!!! Best part is, it doesn't cost us taxpayers a dime, contributions come from business and individuals in the Sioux Falls area. Those who can help, have the opportunity to do so. Goes to show that things can be accomplished to help people trying to help themselves without yet another ridiculously expensive and wasteful government program!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
