It's funny to think, that once upon a time the Democrats and Republicans met at the end of the day at bars in D.C. for drinks. They may have battled during the day, but in the evening they were willing to put their differences aside and have a drink together. I forget who stated this, someone from the 70's. He was pointing out that in the past our elected leaders disagreed on policy, not Party. Somewhere along the line that got really messed up. Before if something needed doing compromise was possible. Today it's like a blood fued, neither party can even hint and compromise as it is shown as weekness and betrayal to their party. The system is truely broken.
