At least there was quite a bit of passing, which made me happy!

The way they toe out the rear axle (probably the wrong term but) the rear axle setup forces any push on the left rear to just turns the car in front. Maybe NASCAR should go back to a square tracking car instead of this "dog leg" appearing rig they've been using for awhile now.?.?.?

Haven't heard anyone say what they're running for camber on the rear ends.... I think that smaller spoiler probably has something to do with the car's stability... Betcha at break there will be a lot of track bar adjustments trying to get the back end to not kick out so hard when they get bumped on a corner??? Hard to say, lots of rule changes this year in the aero department!!!!

I do know they are allowed 1 or 2 degrees of TOE out for the rear axle... that's why when they are coming down the straight the right rear is closer to the wall than the right front.. OH, and the ROOKIE Danica was saying the new package takes away 50 pounds of downforce! Don't know if that's combined or front or rear..

I knew when they put out the new setup weeks ago that the smaller radiator opening was going to hurt the 2 car pairings. I was hoping it wouldn't hurt this bad tho'.. LOL..

With all the rule changes this year, the guys running the shootout are sure going to have an advantage on getting the setup right for the 500!!!!

Yep! and their going to need it! I had jumped over to NHRA qualifying and Cory Mac had a fuel line fail and set almost the whole quarter on fire! SCARY! Luckily, no fuel meant low power so speed was low.

Well, big wreck #2--pack racing is back and so are the big wrecks!!!! Left side of the car is so fragile, any little bump and it's sideways!!

I don't know about you but, It's killin' me! I think the rule changes went the wrong way as far as stability!

How about the save by Kyle? That car was all over and he held onto it!

Funny Car, John Force gets to race his daughter, Courtney in round 1 tomorrow! Will old age & treachery win out over the young and quicker reflexes? LOL..

I duuno, if the driver's don't learn to lay off pushing on someone's corner there's not going to be many cars left at the end of the 500!!!! Wrecked a ton of cars tonight with about half as many cars starting the race as will start the 500....

Maybe NASCAR will give them back the height they took off the spoiler to at least give the car some downforce??

Well, that was a wild and strange race!!!! Hate to say it but Kyle made one heck of a good last lap pass to win the thing!

Glad that's over! And Kyle proved once again, he's a force to be reckoned with! Got spun out at least 3 times and still wins that crashfest!
