The guy that's going to be ticked at Ford about this is the One Eyed Jack. Up to now he's been used to getting the full measure of Ford corporate support, and they pretty much dictated that all the engines & chassis engineering flowed through Rousch to the teams. Now you bring in Penske who's a full service shop, everything from chassis and Ilmor Engineering for design, developing and building engines. I'll bet there will be some heated discussions at Jack's house with this announcement.

Dodge may just pull the plug on NASCAR - there's not another full service guy out there to step in and take Penske's place, and it costs a lot more to piecemeal it. They may be done.

My bet is that Sergio will see that without Penske's power he's an also ran and he will elect to spend his sponsor money in other places where he can be a bigger player. Just my $0.02.

With new cars being developed and NASCAR promising they will have improved manufacturer identification to the fans, I don't really see Dodge staying out of it completely... Maybe Ray Evernham is ready to come back to NASCAR???

I don't see Evernham being the "all in" guy like Penske and Rousch, but maybe I'm wrong. I see Sergio Marchionne looking at the overall bang for the buck, and opting out. Time will tell.....

There have been rumors of another foreign nameplate entering the NA$CAR ranks. Since Chrysler is partially/mostly owned by Fiat......OMG
