NASCAR in Pheonix
Watched a bit of qualifying for the Sprint race, Mark Martin and Smoke on the front row for Sunday's race!
Nationwide race is on ESPN now, good clean race so far. Pheonix is such a unique track and takes good handling and a good brain to finish up front!!! So far, everyone is behaving and it's a good race!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Phoenix flat tracking is sure a totally different show than the big tri-ovals, isn't it?? Still a pretty clean race as you say.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Not much excitement this week. Hamlin was strong almost all day. Marcos Ambros was running well 'til the motor broke. The Biff took 3rd so he should be in good shape points wise.

Are wheel spacers a commonly used part??. The commentary said that is regulated.I do understand NASCAR allowing a race repair like that.My curiosity is where did they come up with a wheel spacer for J.J's car if it isn't used all the time??.

Yeah-it seems it is weird the way the EFI systems are designed. If you shut the car off, they said there is a step by step process to reboot the system back up.From what I hear them say the driver needs help to do that.
Maybe it for the sake of a crash to prevent a fire hazard.Last edited by 1gary; 03-05-2012 at 03:14 AM.

Yep. And I seem to move 1 thing and it displaces something else with 1/2 of that landing on the workbench and then I forgot where I was going with this other thing and I'll see something else that...
