    I was surprised that the fine was not overturned along with the other penalties because the way I understand it, things were overturned because a template was not put on the car. And as far as a 100,000 fine, it is just a slap on the hand for Hendrick. It really doesn't mean a dang thing.

    Just proves that if you got the dollars you can buy a decision! IMHO!!! I know some owners right now that are rippin' for having points taken away for the same infraction in the same manner. I wonder what it cost Lowe's?!?! HAH!

    It's got nothing to do with a template! Many cars before have been hammered for arriving with "unapproved parts" and had points taken and fines levied! It has cost Mark Martin a championship for an un-approved intake manifold and the car was never even away from the truck (hauler)! Hadn't entered inspection yet! NASCAR was bought! IMHO! I'll bet Rousch is fuming for one!
