Warning!!!!! Email from brent and chr----hack potentially in progress

If you received an email from brent, it is a hack job using the database. Do not open it or forward it, delete it on sight.

Just a heads up so that you can have some history. I have seen this going back 3 months. Got two a month apart opened them the body was blank.

I am pretty sure they were addressed as from you first & last name@clubhotrod.com. Then sometime later I received a news letter type of affair and that I knew was legit. Just saying maybe it will help to figure out how long this could have been going on.. Pretty sure they are mining email addresses for the all America sport of spam, cannot get enough of that, probably googley the slime balls.
Is that your face or did your pants fall down?

Brent worked all night plugging holes and getting the server back to where it belongs. As another moderator on a sister site stated "I just sweep up after him" .....

    Thanks Bill.
It seems epidemic lately on many forums. My favorite RV site got hammered about 2-3 weeks ago.

Do you need a fresh broom yet?

Two posts since 2007, I guess ricers are more your style then...LOL!!!!!!!!!

It's happening to a large majority of the automotive forums that use php, svtperformance was hit just last week, took them almost three days to come back up. Corral.net was another, down for a day and a half, corvetteforum, same thing.....So it is not just CHR/CC........

Yeah, we've got some good company in other sites that have been struck. Gives me little comfort though, as there's just a lot of a-holes out there perfectly willing to make others suffer for their own desires.

    But for what reason?
They can't physically see the frustration/irritation/reaction to the mahem they've created.
Surely these weird sickos would get more satisfaction out of drowning a kitten, where they can actually see the suffering they've caused?
They're actually sad in my opinion; 'little' people who's only claim to fame is causing problems for someone else...
    I just don't understand.
If that's the most they can aspire to...then yeah...they're sad...

Mr Mustang sir...your byline says it very well.
