    MORE.... Busy Tucson weekend!

After the car show from my earlier post, a friend and I decided to go to the evening program at the SIR drag strip.

We had our second annual IHRA Nitro Jam. We went late Saturday, after most of the eliminations were over. The finale was after dark, and featured modern Fuelers... Nitro Harlys... Junior Dragsters... Fule Altereds... and Nostalgia Funnies. Also finals in a couple sportsman classes... some jets... and and the Jelly Belly wheelie stage coach.

Didn't look around the pits as much as usual, so there aren't many sportsman close ups. They had a big crowd, and we wanted to get a good seat near the starting line, before the stands filled up.

    Enjoy...dcp_0363.jpgdcp_0374.jpgdcp_0361.jpgdcp_0364.jpgdcp_0357.jpg

At one time, there was a "Jolly Rancher" wheelie stage coach. I am not sure if the "Jelly Belly" stage is the same vehicle or not???
