NASCAR in Texas, and goin' fast!!!!!!
Fellow geezers, be proud!!!! Mark Martin set fast time in practice today, averaged a bit over 189 mph, or over 200 on the straights!!!! Gives him a late spot for qualifying tomorrow which is usually better... Gooooooooooooooo Mark!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Mark Martin has been my main man ever since Dale Jarrett retired.
His efforts of yesterday really set me grinning.

I don't know how many pole setters have won the race.I was just making the point that even if Mark didn't get the pole,he could still win the race.Kind of the credo of any racer-"It is sure better to be lucky than good".

Ol' Biff had a really good handle on that thing based on his driving posture from the in car shots. Wind? What wind?
70% percent of the top 10 were all the cars from two teams, Fords and Chevies. If you stretch to the top twelve you get 4 toyotas in the mix. I guess NASCAR would be happy with that kind of parity. Better parity than parody I suppose..........Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
