Thread: Prayers for my Son needed !

A lot of people get shots of a steroid (can't think of the name) in joints which can help with pain. If the docs think this is related to the horse accident, is there any chance that it will be covered by the insurance of whoever had the horse? That may be something to look into that will help you all. I pray that the shots work for him and that his issues will start getting better.

Pastor, I'm afraid that the statute of limitations has long run out on the horse incident but thanks for the prayers..

Well gang, they sent Bo home yesterday with a sack full of meds so now he's home in bed hurting like hell instead of in the Hospital hurting like hell. My DIL said that they were supposed to call some Doctor (quack quack) to schedule the procedure for the steroid/numbing shot ! I'm still very concerned that he's not getting the "PROPER" care and I'm not sure that it's even out there ??????????? We're closing on our new house tomorrow so we'll drop by there on the way and see if there's anything we can do. Keep the good vibes and prayers coming, please ! Tnx meller.

Mello keep us updated. Hopefully a steriod shot will reduce any inflamation to the spinal cord and result in pain relief for your son. Key phrases that seem to get action in the health care world, are " I 'm really worried there may be something your missing?". "Boy, I'd sure hate to find out down the line you missed something" I'd be pretty upset if this is something that could have been caught in time, but wasn't". Direct threats seem to only get walls built up, but sutle inferences make physcians who get paid to avoid expensive procedures, more willing to do what's needed. Usually an insurance thing.
Sounds like that's not the case here. Neural pain issues are sometimes just difficult to figure out, unless something obvious is staring you in the face. We'll keep sending out positive thoughts and prayers, Steve." "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Thanks to all of you !
If this update seems a little scrambled, I apologize - - - - we're tired and I tried to generalize this so I could just copy and paste to the Forums and my emails:
UPDATE:
we just got home from our new house closing and all day at the ER with Bo and part of the family - - - - - we were on our way to his house before going to the closing and were told that the ambulance had just picked him up and was taking him to Memorial Herman so we just stayed on the freeway for another 30 minutes and ended up in ER around 10:30am - - - with him, his wife, his Mom, his stepdad and Sherry and I - - - - stayed until 3pm and then went to the closing - - - after the closing we dropped a SUV load of stuff off at the new house and then went back to the ER for several more hours - - - - we finally had to start home (2 hour drive) and got home around 10:30 tonight - - - - Bo's Mom called around 10pm and said that they admitted him to the Hospital for further evaluation - - - - - we are very worried about him and we need some Divine intervention because the doctors don't seem to know how to diagnose him - - - - gotta go lay down but I'll keep you updated as I can - - - - - I have to tear the puters down tomorrow night for the move on Thursday and won't have internet until Friday afternoon- - - I HOPE !
Please keep Bo in your thoughts and prayers because he is a very sick young man.

Emmett,
So sorry to hear that Bo's having more problems. Prayers launched from Kansas for him, and for all of you close to him in this time of worry and pain. Miracles happen, and we'll be praying for one for Bo tonight. Hang in as well as you can.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

We will continue with prayers for Bo from here, Em!!!! If it could be called good news, it does sound like he's in a hospital with Doctor's who are looking for a cause (and a fix) for the problem rather then just keeping him for awhile and sending him home!!!!! Perhaps the Divine Intervention has already place him where the Doctor's and staff will fix what's wrong??????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Just heard from his Mom, she has been with him all day !
After they got the meds and Pain Management going this morning, he was able to sit up and eat some chicken broth, take his IV stand in the bathroom and do his morning personals and even took a shower this evening. However, they're still looking for the source of the headaches and nausea so they are putting their heads together for a spinal ?thingie? tomorrow but that's all she knew so we'll have to wait and get the update tomorrow while moving. YUCK
I tend to agree with you, Dave, I think it has begun and he is on the road to recovery and finding out what caused all of this to flare up all of a sudden. Such a blessing to know that he's not hurting like he was yesterday. Sherry and I didn't get to bed until almost midnight but we laid there and talked and cried and prayed until we both fell asleep.
Hopefully, I'll be back online Friday afternoon with another update and even better news but until then, thanks and God Bless you and yours.
Meller.
