What a hellva way to start Fathers Day
What a hellva way to start Fathers Day, 6plus hours in the hospital..
At 11:50pm last night I had sever stomach muscle spasms, broke out is a heavy sweat, everything went blurry, saw stars spinning in circles & truly thought I was dying. I felt as though my life energy was draining from my body and thought I was about to die. The wife said I had turned ash grey and she thought I had died .
I guess the Good Lord has more plans for me, cause I told him I had more things to do, had a grandchild coming & I needed to take care of Denise. So I'm back once more.....

That's scary, Joe. I hope you have managed to shake it off.
I had a spell about three weeks ago but not as extensive as yours. I only had shortness of breath and those dang "stars" but that was enough to get me stuck in the hospital overnight.
My wife was there to offer me "comfort". She told me if I try that again she's going to pitch me in the recycle bin.
Hang in there

Dave the Doc's have no idea, they thought I had ruptured my colon again & so did I.
I had a bad coughing fit & the pain attack started.
It felt like my colon had ripped apart & everything shot to one side feeling like everything in its path was being ripped apart. They ran a CT scan to be sure I didn't have a hole in my colon & to check the rest of my guts and it came back fine. Blood tests came back fine. The only thing I could think of was possibly a diverticulitis attack, since I have diverticulitis & colon problems because of it. I had 1.5 ft of my colon removed 2-3yrs ago because of hole in my colon & this pain was 100 time worse. The pain was so far off the scale that it was unbearable & wouldn't wish it upon anybody. Thankfully it has gone away & I pray to God that it never happens again....joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

I get a pain somewhat similar to what you're describing, started in 73 and comes and goes, and a 500 milligram hyrocodone takes care of it.Ken Thomas

Glad you're OK, Joe, that would scare anyone, especially ?us? old pharts.
I wonder if it's something that you ate, drank or maybe even a reaction to meds?
I found out the hard way that I cannot tolerate Tabasco of any form but it
took a while to figure out that was what was causing my colon spasms.

Joe, glad everything turned out OK. I've had Chron's disease for 40 years and had 8" cut from my large intestine. My mom just died at 93 Feb. 28 from a burst colon and lasted 2 days. It's no fun. BartKeep smiling, it only hurts when you think it does!
