New Blue Angels Video
This is really good. Did you know that the pilot on the right of the formation is always a Marine? This is one of the best Blue Angel videos you'll see!! Great perspective with much of it filmed from the cockpit. You see the formation then see it from the pilot or camera view. It is in HD; Hope your computer can handle it. This was recorded in FL. And El Centro, CA. Navy Aviation kicks A$$!!

Yeah, them swabbie jet jocks do ok, and it's sure nice of them to let a Marine play with them all the time!!!!!But there was another video there of the US Air Force Thunderbirds so I really enjoyed watching some real fighter jocks do their thing.....
BTW--did them Navy dudes ever find their boat or are they still landlocked?????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I'm pretty sure that they know exactly where the boat's sitting, and I think that they invited the Thunderguys to drop in for a visit anytime they were in the area, but they were a bit intimidated by the short runway, and that it was rising and falling about ten feet on a regular patternRoger

Is that why the Navy jet jocks live on boats??? Heck I was always told that it was because the land bases didn't want them hangin' around!!!!!
I was also told that Marines travel around on Navy boats so that the sailors have somebody to dance with on Saturday Night!!!! Now I suppose you'll tell me that that's not true either???????Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I was no more than 2' tall, standing beside my Dad when he took this video, (or super 8 film). Mason City, IA Airport. Unlike most videos I post, I'd recommend turning the volume "down" for this particular clip.

There is truth that they learn to "catch the wire" and be sure the hook is down!! I've been known to accuse an airline pilot of having Navy training in my more intense travel days, too As for the Marines on the boats, I talked to a guy at a car show the other day who did 28years in the USMC, and he said that the swabbies were the best travel coordinators in the world. Nearly every trip involved being dropped off on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and there were usually no crowds, either!!Roger

In the same vein, a friend sent me this picture this morning. Thought it was appropriate, to put things into perspective....
