YES! That was exciting! He has won there something like the last 6 races in a row! Very impressive!!
And I was also impressed with Andrew Hines (team Harley), they were given a 20 pound weight penalty this year to "even the field"... and they've still been finding a way to win! They had no data from Mile High and the night before the race he brainstorms and puts the winning tune-up into his bikes and gets'em BOTH into the finals. They've won about everything this year so far even with the extra weight! Of course we all know next season (if not before!) they'll tack on another weight penalty...

Yeah, that's 35 pounds they've added to the Harley's this year---and they still dominate! I wonder if it's Vance and Hines doing all the R&D, or someone at Harley??? Whoever it is, the 'new Harley' that all the purists love to hate sure has put American made bikes back on the win column in NHRA!!!! Good to see it! Suzuki dominated the show long enough!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Well, I cannot disagree with anything you stated above! I have to believe it's a combo of engineers, factory & V&H, coming up with the winning combo. I wonder how long they (V&H) can continue winning and knowing there's more weight coming. I find this concept strange within NHRA, they would usually set the rules for the year and let it roll. I don't remember them assessing a weight penalty multiple times a year onto 1 team.
I know they made a bunch of concessions to get the Harleys competitive, just find it strange the way their adding weight as the season progresses.
