pretty close guesses you guys.
i been tooling around at various speeds and inventing errands that simply HAVE to be run RIGHT NOW.
a hot rod is whatever i decide it is.

i am still breaking it in. going for drives at various speeds and not staying at any one for long.
unsuprisingly i did just find out that it is very easy to pass cars quickly on the freeway with a 75mph speed limit.
my antique speedo only goes to 80 so i have no idea how fast i was going.
i wasnt hammering it at all...a hot rod is whatever i decide it is.

i blew the holly carbs power valve but thats fixed.
it does have quite a bit more power.
when i assembled the rear end i installed a 3.00 gear for fuel economy.
with the old engine i was getting 19mpg.
and i am curious what i will get now.a hot rod is whatever i decide it is.

With a fresh engine and that gear in a light car, you should get better mileage now--might take a few miles to get the engine broke in and loosened up, but I'd be surprised if your mileage wasn't better!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
