Haven't got the hot rod on the road yet, but the MR2 convertable seems to attract the same crowd as mentioned above. People especially like to tail gate that small car!. But even the soccer moms seem hell bent on dragracing a sports car, not sure why, maybe they are adding testosterone the the water supply!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

I used to get that once in a while. The '59 was LOUD, and had a sort of rat rod look to it, and some folks just couldn't help themselves, I suppose. If I took notice, sometimes I would tease them a bit by revving back at them and rattling their teeth, or if I was in front of the pack, I'd chirp the tires a bit when leaving, then just ease back and watch the fun.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.

Johnboy, what do you have under the hood on the Morrie as I am not familiar with it and please post photos as it sounds like the sort of sleeper I admire. Years ago when I lived in Invercargill there was a guy who owned a 2 door Mk1 Cortina that looked stock, but had a 289/ 4 speed hidden under the bonnet. If one was into cars one would recognize that it had 12 slot wheels on bigger brakes and a narrow 9"under the rear. There was nothing in the interior apart from a slightly large gearbox cover that gave anybody a hint of what was lurking underneath ready to bite. I real sleeper.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.
