OOOOWWWWW OOOOO!
1090 XERB Radio - Southern California Giant - Wolfman Jack
I can remember having to tune the AM radio dial to keep the signal as we cruised.

Of course, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong!

Yeah, I was down in the sticks of SW Missouri, and well after dark I would dial in to WLS Chicago, or occasionally, if the "skip" was strong, WNOE New Orleans. Both were very cool stations - maybe not on par with the Wolf Man, but pretty cool in the sticks!!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I haven't thought about "The X stations" in a long time; can't even remember the call signs - seems another one was XTRA. We were still listening to one or another in the seventies on our late night jaunts back to "The OC" from visiting my Brides folks in San Diego - kids camped out in the back of the '70 Chevy longroof, radio tuned in to Wolfman Jack or Doctor Demento, and us "old folks" trying to keep each other from dozing off.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.
Twistin' and bangin' on stuff for about sixty or so years; beat up and busted, but not entirely dead - yet.

Thanks for the great link Stu!!!
We used to camp out in the trees at the back of our fields and would sometimes hear the wolfman if the wind was blowing north.
Hot buttered buns!!!! what a song!...at least I'm enjoying the ride!
