I'll be thinking of you guys this weekend......................high 70s/low 80s.............just about perfect roadster weather.

Be safe back there in the storm path.

    It's "banana belt" magic.
Old hands here are familiar with my annual trip to the desert oasis known as Las Vegas this time of year. MV is about 30 degrees cooler and raining

Yeah, we were 23F here this morning, but we're heading to around 49F, a veritable heat wave!! Left the '33 outside to test my crank fuel settings for cold start and it worked pretty good all frosty!

Ok so here in north Calif we usually just get rain in fall...this year we had seven tornado warnings and three touch downs last Monday ....what the heck, the mountains had 28 inches of snow overnight...they were estatic.. yesterday and for the next few days we are in the high 70`s which will mean most of the snow will melt.

On the normally frozen tundra of upstate NY - fair skies and closing in on 70* right now ----- but with Sandy coming to visit in a couple days, probably wont have very good weather next week with many inches of rain already predicted .

"Experts said the storm could be wider and stronger than Irene, which caused more than $15 billion in damage, and could rival the worst East Coast storm on record."

Now, back to 'shoveling' out the leaves from the fifteen 100' oaks in the back yard - they dumped their leaves about a month early this year

The forcasters here in Calif are arguing about the eastern push ( storms and winds ) which will keep the hurricane out to sea.... they`ll argue over anything...

They've probably been spending too much time with Obama and partying.

I just saw the forecast while eating lunch - and it just gets worse - but my generator has been tested, gas cans are full as are the car and truck, have a fresh case of my favorite adult beverage, chain saw has a good chain , have enough reading materials so am ready for 'nature's fury'

Definately wierd weather. Cold and a few days of rain here last week, then hot again during the day, but cool evenings. Suppose to be 76 high here today, but rain for Halloween, which is about right! The high day time temps are a little strange though. A very dry year. We were happy to hear the SIerras got a few feet of snow, as the snow base equals water next summer!
