Just traded messages with my friend who is there -It's cloudy and getting cooler by the minute at Martinsville. Tomorrow is likely to be in the 50's and a chance of showers. I don't expect too much serious weather from Sandy.Roger

Yeah, the temperature swings here last weekend had them scrambling, to say the least. They said that none of the extra track time on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday meant anything when the track temps went up twenty to thirty degrees! Then on Sunday, it started out clear, sunny and warming and about 30 minutes before race time the clouds rolled in and temps started dropping again! About all the extra miles did was put rubber down on the track, then they set new records for the number of cautions both Saturday and Sunday.....Roger

With the new banking and surfacing, plus all the temperature swings, last week had to age all those Crew Chiefs about 10 years!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Weather is great in Martinsville, doesn't look so good further North!!! So far the Hendrick's cars are dominating, long ways to go yet and Hamlin is doing his usual superb job of luring around the top ten and waiting to move in for the kill!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
