    Love this thread!

I've always gravitated toward Chevy's for the hot rod part of my life but had a lot of Fords for my "daily drivers". They just felt right for hauling my four kids around. We had station wagons (Country Squire - complete with the "wood grained" panels), Econoline conversion vans, and several Explorer variations. I now drive an Expedition however, the wife has a new 5.0 Mustang and I have to say, it's downright awesome to drive. Lost of giddy up and well mannered with 25+mpg on the road..

That brings me to the point - what about one of these puppies in your car?

Ford Racing Coyote 5.0 4V 412HP Mustang Crate Engine M-6007-M50 - Free Shipping!

Imagine the fun of 412 factory dependable horsepower in that engine bay and ya gotta admit, it would be a jaw dropper when you popped the hood (or opened the front "hinged" fiberglass nose!) and people saw that fantastic piece of engineering in a fifty year old car?

    Just sayin'..........

Glenn - if that engine was available several years back, might have considered it instead of the ancient tech pushrod 5.0 lump that I have in my '31. Even with the additional fit up pain

Right on Dave - not to steal any thunder from this thread, but it is truly an awesome engine! In a factory stock Mustang (w/automatic, A/C, heated leather seats, navigation, etc, etc, etc..) 0-60 in the 4 second range, 12 second ET and just all kinds of fun to drive! What a power plant it would be for a '40 Ford or this little Merc!
