I found an interesting Video Camera with an unbelievable lens attached at Best Buy. The brand is Panasonic pv-dv953, kind of so so brand at first blush ................ right?
Well check this out the lens is a Leica anyone into camers knows that is top dollar stuff.
I remember looking at a boat load of video cameras and picked up this Panasonic, spotted the name on lens and it went right out the door with me.
Cannot beat the Nikon for stoutness they can be dropped and will kleep on shooting. Cannon is also a nice product that takes good shots, my two cents..
As to SLR digital, if one has a need for different lenes, big stuff 200 mm type that's the way to go. The digital by itself does a nice job with the digital zoom for most applications. All the rest of the functions timed exposures, speed and light adjustments are there as well as point and pull the trigger.
I do miss the feed back that the shutter, mirror and auto film advance would give on those old film processors. I also really like a huge memory card and having the ability do see the shots at the end of the day.I have two brains, one is lost and the other is out looking for it
Sorry for your loss of friend Mike McGee, Shine. Great trans men are few and far between, it seems. Sadly, Mike Frade was only 66 and had been talking about retirement for ten years that I know...
