The day of Infamy----
I hope during the course of the day we all take a moment to pause and reflect in remembrance......Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

They woke up the "Sleeping Giant" and many were killed. After the bomb and the surrender, we then helped them rebuild their country and I still think that "Old Glory" should have flown over their government to this day but instead our store counters are flooded with their products.
God Bless the Veterans, one and all, and Thanks to the fallen heroes - - - we owe you a debt that we can never repay..

I was reminiscing about it earlier this morning Dave. This day in 1941 was the day that my father and his generation began their long trek in becoming the greatest generation. Guys our age were raised by that generation and I believe we are all the better for it.
I know it becomes less significant for each generation that follows us and that is truly a shame.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

I believe it should be taught in our schools as it was when I (we ) went to school. Most kids today haven't a clue. I'm not saying war is good, but good can come from it.Charlie

Wow missed it entirely yesterday! Caught up in my own funk. Makes you think much differently when you think what it must of been like for the people back then. 911 scared the crap out of this country, and yet that was a skirmish compared to Pearl Harbour and our parent's generation headed to war. My Uncles are all gone except for one who was in WW2. I agree that we were raised to not waste after the rationing our parents lived thru. Hard work to supply the troops and self sacrafice was a given. Gas rationing, and tire vouchers, etc..... People today just don't know or care!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
