We only got 4"-5" of snow, but the wind was gusting up to 35 mph so we did get some sizable drifts! One of them was about 2' high and right across my deck!!!!!

It was rain and fog but in the mid fifties (F) today but supposed to get at least chilly for the next few days - usually much cooler. Possibly Algore is correct:

As part of her job the bride talks to folks all over the country. A guy in Minneapolis yesterday told her they had 12" of snow in one day. Here in Seattle low 40s, drizzle.........................in other words............normal.

I went to my youngest daughters Christmas Concert, she is a Sophomore at South Dakota State in Brookings on Sunday.

We were met with 12" of snow. Winds at 40 miles an hour, gusting to 55 miles per hour.
The last 5 miles on Interstate 29 to Brookings took us 2 hours to navigate.
Temps got down to -12 degrees, with Wind Chills getting to -40 degrees overnight.
They shut the Interstate down from 4:00 pm to 10:00 am.
Had to find a motel room as we weren't planning on staying overnight.

The concert was great, Had a great time with my wife and daughter.

My wife does not look forward to going back to South Dakota anytime soon.

We have about 2" on the ground (from the weekend) and that is our first snow accumulation of the year. I expect it will be gone soon as the prediction is for above freezing weather for the rest of the week.
