Kewl deal! Just wondering, "Banzii" (Bruns) is home for awhile (Haudenshcilds crew chief) and went out to lunch with "the guys" Friday and was telling us that Smoke and Bob East Sr. have collaborated on some new chassis, both midgets and sprints. Bruns said the new midget car was definitely going to be worth watching next summer in USAC, both the big engine and Ford engine class!!!! Guess if Smoke just shows up and wins the dang thing it must be working ok!!!!! Haven't seen anything about the new car, anything real noticeable on it for major innovations?????

Dave I haven't heard anything,but @ Duquoin he was running a Spike with a chevrolet powerplant. Looks like the same car he has run @ Chilibowl the last couple of years. Spike is John Godfree who usta own Stealth.

Is your son going to be able to run again this summer, or still job-blocked from the Sprinters??? I've got to make a couple good USAC shows this summer, withdrawal pains just keep getting worse!!!!!!

Dave,guess he's done with racing for now.Shame, cuzz he had the talent. He told me I needed another sprint car and I told him no,you need a sprint car and I'll help.I'd bet he gets back in at some point as he's only 22. My Godson Pete who I sold my sprinter too,borrowed a freinds midget for Chilibowl and after we got it back to the shop and stripped it down for a rebuild Pete called the guy and wound up buying it. We're in thrash mode getting it ready for Chilbowl in a couple weeks.
