Thread: 24 Hours of Daytona

The 24 Hours of Daytona starts today.... I know there's not many road race fans on CHR, but nevertheless you have to admire the way these cars are built to run 24 hours at race speeds!!!

Years ago, Daytona was a matter of survival for 22 hours, then a 2 hour race to the finish. It's still somewhat that way, especially in the overnight hours of the race, but now these cars are running very fast lap times throughout the duration of the race!!!!

The prototype classes are always good, and in the GT classes I keep hoping someone will beat the Porsche's some year!!!!

Sure would like to get back there again for the race some year!!!

Sure wish I had a channel that carried it!

I think there's a link to it off of Speed.com to watch it on the 'puter, about 5 hours to go now! Audi is (for now) leading in the GT class anyway!!!!!!

Maybe I'll try that.
