    RM1308special
    M1 Garand .308 Caliber Special
New barrel chambered for 308 winchester(762nato)
    $995-----

    new baRREL, NEW STOCKS

shipped in a very nice CMP case

They say that it takes several weeks for mail order but you can go down there and pick out the rifle you want(if any) and they will ship it the next day----i settled on this piece because of the 308 barrel as I have a bolt action i built back in the mid 70s====ammo is also more available( for the military semi or full autos, you don't want random reloads or out of calibration loads as they won't consistently fire/operate the action-------

they several that were available but also lots of empty space---

I also had recently purchased a ruger mini 30 in 7.62 thinking it was 308 winchester type but nooooooo---its 7.62 x 39---same as ak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ammo racks labeled for that is blank shelves in all the stores around here----------I'm wanting to get most of my stuff where it would use nato or 308 winchester so i'm not exactly thrilled that i bought the mini 30----------so , i'm looking for a springfield m1a scout(m14 for my era guys) then might sell the ruger------------but , I do have a 10-22 and want one of the 44mags carbine---------

Sweet. Got my Garand last year around this time. Bought the service grade (3006) Springfield. It arrived almost 1 year ago to date. Looked Brand new. Great deals Thought about going for one of the 308's after reading they were making some 3006 conversions. Now it's range time and the wonerful M-1 Thumb! Gotta love the Ping too! post some pics. They seem to sight them in too. Mine was 2" from Bullseye at 100 yds through the sites, right out of the box!

I also got a bayonet, sling, package of 25 clips and 3 boxes(600) of 308 match grade ammo----finding that the earlier 30-06 stuff is impossible to find and the actions work best on the designed loads---lots of the modern day loads aren't ideal and cause mis fires, slammed bolts, etc----------
