comet goes bye bye, mustang comes home
sold the vomet comet to a friend who wanted it more then me, picked up a caged mustang with subframe connectors battery already reloacted. doesnt need floor pans and etc. dont have time or place for a car that far gone anymore. should be a fun little mustang
building a 406 sbc for the mustang, blasphemy yea yea hearing it already but thats why i bought one so i can do it how i please.

Sorry to see the Comet go away, but looking forward to watching the Mustang come together, 'cept for that bowtie part... Heck, it'll still go with chebbie power, but that pony might buck & snort a bit till you get it broke.Roger

haha! no kidding right.
406w/ aluminum heads 210 runners 64cc chamber 2.02 1.6 valves roller rockers stud girdles, 6 inch rods, strip dominator intake with a 850 holley have not decided on a head gasket yet, thinking perma torque or cometic thickness not decided!
piston info, compression height, 1.130 dome -5cc
3000lbs car 4:10 gear t-350 w/ 3500 stall

I think you want to set the quench at the targeted .040.

have not bought pistons yet i am looking at several options at the moment thats just one set.

ended up picking up a set of small domes, and a new intake today. brand new GM bowtie intake for $100.00 new in summit or jegs its about a 385 dollar intake. i hope it will work good with the 406, i made sure its NOT the .200 raised runner version. gm recomends a 2 inch spacer!

going to be running a predator carb, everyone i ever used had terrific luck with even dad to, quite old fashioned and fugly but work GREAT!!!!!!!! scooped up an msd ignition system today also.
