Ryan----
I was watching news while eating breakfast---they are talking about an airplane had flown into one of the wtc towers---like it was a small private plane----while watching I saw the B767 in the far background and told my wife Robin that the plane was going to turn into the other tower as it was in airspace area that we didn't fly in---as I was speaking it started a high angle bank dive toward the building---
Later (several days) when I found out that it was N612U I looked thru my log book records to see when and how much I had flown it----It was one of the first 19 B767 that United got back in the early 80s and over a 3 year period between 85-89 I had flown it several hundred hours as co pilot and after Captain had flown it many more hours but mostly on my routing I was then flying the larger B767-300s and hours on 767-200 was limited ----------I never have been able to look at crew names to see how much I possibly flew with those who pershed that day----------
It has been 20 years now since the first trade center bombing---I was in New York that day and had planned to take the train to the trade center sight seeing but when I got up late morning(after an all niter) I could see the smoke rising from them and it was on tv---------
I'll never forget it---------------------

Charlie, this morning I was taking what was maybe my twentieth look at your YouTube offering (http://www.youtube.com/v/RU1oB8sGyYM).
A little over one minute into it we get a very brief view of an elderly man beside what is possibly a Supermarine Spitfire, and that man sure looks like Bob Hoover to me.
To my knowledge Mr. Hoover is still living and is now in his nineties.
Did that occur to any more of us high-mileage folks?
