Over the Hill
As it seems to me, others besides myself are having more and more difficulties posting pics to this forum and I keep getting messages about not having permission to use a page, etc---------its gotten so about the only thread getting any traffic is the 3-word story one and verry little about hot rods--------so, until this place gets easier for a 72 year old to post stuff or answer someone else's posts, I will probably not be visiting very often------Its been nice being a part of some of these conversations and I hope I have been some help without seeming too cranky----------

I also haven't been having problems.. I haven't seen the "permission" (or lack of it!) in quite some time.
Hope you don't wander off. We like you being cranky 'round the place... it adds a certain ambiance...

I only get that permission message every once in a while. I also agree, stick around. This site needs more participation and leaving doesn't really help it any.Ryan

This site has some great people and interesting discussions, but if so many people find it difficult to navigate and post it will become extinct. The last major update, although necessary, caused a lot of good people to go elsewhere and this latest round of difficulty isn't helping matters at all. I hope the powers to be are listening.Ken Thomas

I haven't had the problems that others are experiencing except that it often takes quite a while to even get on to the site. I have cut back my participation though here as well as other sites, as much for time reasons as any other. Jerry - hang in there. At least we are usually friends which there seems to be a lack of at many other sites.Dave W
I am now gone from this forum for now - finally have pulled the plug

Jerry, the only place I've had any problem posting pictures is to the "Gallery", and I gave up on that long, long ago. For me pictures belong in the threads where they can be enjoyed or at least easily seen, and we've got the steps for posting files or images pretty well nailed. I agree that the participation has been declining, but we do get the occasional post were someone is actually looking for help, as well as a few where we get to see what's being built. I enjoyed seeing the article in National Dragster Insider - a great read about the glory days of racing. I hope you'll hang in and stick around.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I would like to have the benefit of Jerry's experience so I hope he willl continue to post here. I still do get the rejection saying I am not allowed to post when I log on but all I have to do is click on "Today's Posts". One can wonder whether some limit is occuring in terms of mass storage of this massive archive?

Every time I log in, it says that I don't have permission to visit the page that opens up. I just click on Today's Posts and move on. I would, however, like to know how to delete the photos in my gallery so I could post some new ones.PLANET EARTH, INSANE ASYLUM FOR THE UNIVERSE.

I too would be sorry to see you go.
I enjoy reading the gems of knowledge and wisdom that you drop in.
An insight into a world that is totally outside of my experience.
Very enlightening and educational.

i have always had problems with this particular website.
no permission /slow loading or simply timing out .
dont get me started on that silly 3 word thing.
but the folks here have always been supportive and friendly to me even though i have zero mechanical experience and little or no aptitude for all things motorized.
when i ask for advice i get it.
as far as posting photographs i suggest using photobucket.
that will circumvent almost all of the problems you might be having with the photo posting.
hope this helps!a hot rod is whatever i decide it is.
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
