Trying to make lemonade out of lemons, maybe I can use the indoor time to really understand the 700R4. I just watched three Youtube videos by "Mad Dog Lou" on levels 2, 3 and 4 rebuilds of the 700R4. I gues what I have is the basic level 2 build from Monster Motors because I have an aluminum accumulator but upon disassembly a piece of a copper sprague fell out so maybe I this is the opportunity to upgrade further and also add more discs to the clutch pack. Evidently a lack of 3rd and 4th is a common problem with the stock 700R4. At this point the weather may just keep me visiting the local Mr. Transmission shop and take his advice on what upgrades are needed. The Dynosim runs made for my SBC350 by several folks on this Forum range from 298 HP to 333 HP but I see a lot of resemblence to the 1977 Z28 motor which was only rated at 180 HP so I don't think I really need much added beef to the trans but that broken copper sprague is worrisome! Anyway it is best to get this sorted out while the weather is bad so the car will be ready for summer touring, if ever!

Well,it's starting to get colder here,in the mornings,,so I suppose it will be long pants soon,,to keep my bony knees warm....Thankfully,we don't get that cold white cccc...stuff.....Was talking to Roger and Lori, from Truckee,Ca.,,who are down here for our Beach Hop week, and they have fresh snow,at their place,,,while they are basking in 28deg.C warmth, and cruisin in a friends roadster, down here..Lucky,lucky...Micah 6:8
If we aren't supposed to have midnight snacks,,,WHY is there a light in the refrigerator???
Robin.

Yeah, we still have a bunch of snow on the ground but tomorrow's headed to high 40's with a chance of rain, then continuing to warm into the 60's for the weekend.Roger
