America's Sweetheart passes on at 70
It's with a sad but almost grateful feeling that I post this notice of Miss Annette Funicello's passing. It hasn't been 2 weeks that I went to her Website and watched the Video that her Husband had posted because he felt she would have wanted her fans to know the devastation of Multiple Sclerosis that she has been living with and fighting for so many years. My heartfelt condolences to her Family and Fans. May she finally Rest In Peace. Thanks for the memories Annette. You will always be my #1 teenage hearthrob!

I'm sad to hear of her death and struggle with MS. As a kid I watched the Mickey Mouse Club every day and definitely had a crush on her that continued with the Beach Party movies I watched as a teenager. Rest in peace.Nick

When my family was visiting my older brother who lived in California, he took us to Disneyland. This would have been about 1956. I was about ten, I guess. While wandering around looking at all the stuff, I heard someone talking to me. I turned to see who it was. It was Annette, who was there with the rest of the Mousekateers. I was so scared that I just turned around and walked away without saying anything! I’ve regretted that move ever since! What a fool I was!

Heck Fitz', Annette would have been 13 or 14 to your 10 so being a bit intimidated by her "star quality" is understandable. She was an inspiration to a lot of teenager's back in the day, and through the years. RIP Annette.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I was crushed when I found out she was old enough to be my mother.
I guess the episodes being black and white should have been a clue.
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
