It's weird how one day you get some and a few days nothing.

Not sure about Brent, other than he's got his "day job" that puts food on the table in addition to several forums he works. It gets frustrating for us folks that are on here a lot, and I agree new folks might not take time to learn the work arounds to find stuff, like your own thread after a couple of days..... If you're away for a week or two it's all but impossible to know what you've missed....it's buried in archives, and no way to search simply by date.
Maybe it's time for Brent to get another (or more) moderator(s.) This is the only site I visit that tries to get by with only one. Obviously Bill is overworked and Brent does not like to get personally involved.

Well, I stopped receiving notices several months ago. I checked and re-checked my settings, never changed anything, but they stopped anyway. Then, a month or so ago I started getting them again... for about a week... and then they stopped again. I hate to see this site disappear; it's been one of my favorites for a long time. Everyone here has always been friendly and helpful, not a bunch of flamers like another popular site. It's also a shame we've lost some long-time contributors like Ken Thurm, Itoldyouso, and Brianruppnow. What happened to make them leave??... Oh well, I'm still here and I'll be one of the "last dogs to die"...

I asked the question again because yesterday I didn't receive notices of several posts to my other thread and some that I subscribed to. Maybe it's a one day glitch. Who knows??

Randy, I've been getting mine. How did you set your 'Notification Type' for your subscriptions. Through control panel, Instantly, Daily or Weekly? I have only one set at Daily, the others are set Weekly.

    Guys,

I've sent a note off to Brent.

    Also for clarification:

Brent has access to the database and server

I have access to the moderation functions only (and some database functions, but not on the server level).

I have not asked for, nor would I want access to the full database and server .
