Ma's place
My mom is 87 she lives alone in her cozy 2b/r appartment..Tue. that all came to an end she now lives with me. A new tennent carried in some boxs to there appartment and set them on there electric stove ..Doing so theyu pushed a buttom on the stove. This is the result of someone not paying atention to what they are doing. So no playing in the shop anything we want out of there we have to get before MondayCharlie

It's sad that another person's poor judgement and mistake forced the action, but as Pastor says the important thing is that she's OK.Roger

Yes, I'm guilty of leaving a burner on also... One day I heard something shatter in the kitchen, went running in there and found a plate that I had placed on the stove top had overheated and I guess exploded! All because I didn't realize I had left a burner on..
Charlie, if Mom's ok, then all will be well. Sorry it happened and I hope she didn't lose to many old irreplaceable things like photos, etc.
Besides, you were close before.. now you're closer! 8-)

Praise God your Mom's OK, the rest can be replaced or fondly remembered because they are/were only possessions ..

Thanks Guys...Went over there this A.M. and started boxing things up. The manager came in and said anything we want has to be out TODAY. After a message on church website and a few calls I wound up with 5 guys and 3 women from church. In a bit over 4 hrs we loaded 2 trailers 3 pickups and a van. Moved it all to my sisters place for safe keeping. I have to say God is good. ....and I'm tired.Charlie

Well done, Charlie!!! Good Lord probably gave you and your volunteers a couple of atta-boys for helping Mom out!!!! Only takes 3 atta-boys in Heaven to get a cup of coffee and a slice of Dutch Apple Pie with Cinnamon Ice Cream!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I don't know but the insurance co. said NO one allowed in second floor in rear of building floor joist and truss about gone. They boarded it up so no one can go up there. It is a shame they lost everything but as for now they can not go in. If they go in and get hurt the insurance co would not be liable. You'd be suprised (or not) how many people have tried to break in and steal stuff out of there. Cash from washer and dryer was gone first night. Bottom feeders is what they are.Charlie

Whoa Charlie, sorry to see this. But atleast your Mom is safe and OK. Good job getting help to get her stuff out of there. It is horrible these days anytime something like this happens, the goof balls go looting! Good luck with the insurance stuff too......Ryan

The fact that your mother is okay is the big thing...and the fact that people from the church turned up to help.
There are more good people than bad ones out there.
