cars at the burger joint
i went to a meet n greet last night.
and met a man who uses this 1940 buick as his daily driver.
it isnt all original because it has new upholstery.
but otherwise bone stock.
he still needs to have the pinstriping redone on the wheels and rechrome the hub caps.
but that is all.
what a car.
my best gal couldnt make it.
too bad because she would have LOVED this buick!
a hot rod is whatever i decide it is.

it was cold and super windy so almost everyone drove regular cars to the meet.
but since i am either
1 a fool
2 a diehard
3 a foolish diehard
i of course drove the 27 chevy.
as a matter of fact a bunch of highways were closed due to dust stormsa hot rod is whatever i decide it is.

Anybody that drives his "Classic/Vintage/Antique/or whatever you want to call them" as a daily drive has my greatest admiration and respect as a Car Owner. There's a fellow around here who's daily driver is a 81 El Camino and he told me it had almost 300,000 miles on it. Nothing against Show Car Owners but I told him, "Sir you've got more Class than all the Show Car owners in Texas!".

It's a kool kar,Billy..one we don't see much of down here..Good to see there are some other folk out there who drive their oldies regularly..Thats what they are there for..Wheels are round..i drive the F100 pretty much most days, cos it's my business tool..Usually seen with a broken,or repaired Kenworth or other similar American truck front on the back, either to or from the shop.. or a coupe body or T bucket etc..Done near 50000 miles in 5 years on the road..Micah 6:8

everything I googled says that the F100 is 1/2, the F250 is 3/4 and the F350 is 1 ton
it just really looks beefy in your avatar pic.

F100 is 1/2 ton, probably a 6 cylinder, F150 was same truck but 8 cylinder.

Dunno..Mine had a 292/auto in it,,which it probably not the original trans, cos it only has a small brake pedal,,so was probably a manual..Will get numbers off tag tomorrow..Is a long deck,,which suits me fine..Was an added bonus when my bud purchased it out of Ca. need the longer deck,to do the work,,without too much overhang..All I want now is a tailgate..Dont want a new re pop..just an original one..
Hey Billy,,sorry for the hijack..Sorta got off track,here.. That Booick would be most welcome in our shed..if we had any more room for another one..Micah 6:8
