Well it's been a while, so hello to everyone old and new.
Well have not been on here alot the last 6 months or so.
I was working on my old blue ford pick up stripping it down with my son.
For the most part it's all stripped down and I have not yet put the new skins on the doors. I also have a couple other little spots where I have to weld in some sheet metal.
Since I have to do it outside I have been putting it off. It's been 117 a couple times here in Pahrump. They just had a big fire here on Mt Charleston which is real close to us. It was about 2,500 acres and is still not completely out yet. Hope all is well with all of you.

Welcome back, Kurt. I don't think I've crossed paths with you since I'm a bit more recent around here, but nice to hear your report and I'm looking forward to your follow up reports and pics.
Sort of getting a bit older myself, and having two sons who are 17 & 18 years old, I really like that you're doing this with your son.
I suggest moisture to address the 117; and I don't mean humidity, I mean cold beer.Nick

Hey Kurt, glad to see you post again. I was just thinking of asking if anyone had heard from you, or maybe just hauling my fat self over the mountain and trying to search you out to see if you were still kicking.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.

Ya I am still kicking, been so hot out I've had to stay inside a lot.Been searching to see who has good deals on steel buildings out here.
I need to go down the street to the neighbors, he's got a nice big shop with lifts and all. Want to get my stuff out of the sun and indoors so I can tinker a little bit.
You could probably fit 8 to 10 car's in his garage and if he wanted to he could build a second story inside, it's high enough to. It's probably 50 ft. X 100ft.
That sure would be nice.

Well the “dream house” for me is about 1,200 s/f of house (small enough for Joanie to take care of easily, but with a spare room for the grand kids to visit!) and a 5,000 s/f+ garage. In my neck of the woods, that’s a garage with a finished slab – preferably with a nice gray epoxy finish and heated would be nice. 14 foot minimum clear to allow any lifting, all walls finished and painted white, good heat/cooling, lots of good lighting, tons of compressed dry air, a head with a shower, washer and dryer hookup and a nice place for “refreshments”.
Let me know how this with yours!!
