The auction coverage is crap. The auctioneer's mike sounds like a kid's karaoke set. It looks to me like people are paying top dollar for vehicles they're going to have to put a lot more money into. Zero miles doesn't mean much if you have to replace half the parts. Based on "real" auctions on TV, I think the prices are off the planet.
A 1963 Impala that looked like it had been parked in a Walmart lot for 20 years sold for $97,500.Last edited by Henry Rifle; 09-28-2013 at 11:08 PM.

Well out on one, still in on one!!! Couple friends are at the auction, bought some of the NOS parts yesterday and waiting on a couple cars today. I've already been "nominated" to help haul stuff home, might as well try to get something for me and make the trip worthwhile!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

There's any number of Ford's, even a few MoPars still up for auction!!!! My $2k bid was blown away on a Ford Wagon, sold for $9K!!!!!!! (and I was about $500.00 high on it!!!)
The other one I'm on is a '57 Ford 2 dr. hdtp., suppose my bid won't even be 1/3 of what that sells for!!! Oh well, I tried!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

The pricing is so far out it's ridiculous. At local auctions I've seen people pay more for something used that they could have bought for less brand new, same with ebay.Ken Thomas

The cars are a bit more reasonable today, but for the most part going for way more then they're worth to me!!!! I think many are speculating that cars from this collection will have some sort of special niche in the collector's market in years to come...... Maybe they're right but that's a game I sure as heck can't afford to play!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

I agree with you guys that these cars and trucks brought way too much money! Take those C10 trucks that were on the show. One brought 40k. You still will need to dump $5k in it before you can drive it and it still is a plain jane C10. To me it's just crazy. All this did is make all these other goofy people think their stuff is worth gold because one brought such and such at the Lambrecht auction. Here we go.Ryan
