to clarify:
I was mixing up "gallery" and "garage" so my comment may be off base for the original question. I actually did not try to put pics in the gallery, I was trying to put my car in the "garage". When I tried that multiple times it said I already had the max number allowed, but in fact I had nothing in there. I think I see people with cars in the garage that aren't contributors so that's probably not really the answer. But for some reason the contribution thing worked for me, plus it's a good cause, and now I see the screen about adding cars to my garage whereas previously I could never get that far.

Dave. Same here I can upload them as attachments. I was wanting to update my gallery. I think when the room crashed a couple years ago it left some issues.

Mostly for pictures I upload them to photobucket.com for free, then use the copy imaged link and insert that into my post. One you post, the link becomes a picture. Just an easier way to load photos of any size with out eating up Brent's Hard drive storage space. it works sort of like this on photobucket once the image is uploaded there will be a box next to it on the right with Links to share this photo. Under that will be four different choices, and the one that has [IMG] by it is the one you want to copy it will look like this:
[IMG]http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc214/stovens/DSC_0005_01_zpsc15f41a4.jpg[IMG][URL]" only without the quotation marks if you copy it to your post making sure to have a space on both sides of the link it will end up looking like this: (the real picture to this link)

I think I can post attachments just can't add or subtract from the gallery. That is not really that big a deal.

I tried to delete pictures but can't do that either. There is no button that says delete. I deleted most of my attachments but that had no effect on my gallery. I guess there are some post scattered around the site that had a picture attached that doesn't now...lol The pages take a long time to refresh sometimes also.

Tom the photobucket thing is pretty easy and free. to copy an image link just highlight it by placing your curser over it while holding your mouse button as you scroll across it. it wiil be blue, next let go of mouse and hit the Ctrl key and the letter c at the same time, you've now copied the link, go to your post and under any text you write click the mouse curser and hit the Ctrl key and the v key at the same time. Your link should copy onto the page. When you hit post button you won't see your link, just a picture. I hope this helps." "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.
