goin' South....
I just know that one day I'm gonna log onto this site, click "Today's Posts" and be presented with a blank page. Sad.

The downhill slide seems to have started about the time the page format changed.....lots of old timers didnt make the change. Cool builds like Ken Thurm"s cars are gone. Let's hope it doesn't bite the big one.

Well, about the only way to ensure the site stays alive is to POST and PARTICIPATE!!!!!! Too many threads just go ignored. Get a lot of looks but no comments or replies. The site will go South if all we have is readers and no posters! No reason to blame the format change, that was a long time ago and the old system could no longer be made to work so wishing that was back is like wishing it was 1966 again........... Lots of people come and go around here, maybe if there was a bit more of the friendly greeting type stuff and a bit less of sitting around waiting for someone else to post something CHR would grow again! If the site dies, nobody to blame but the members!!!!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

WHAT, you tell me it isn't 1962 anymore Dave, now how is John Milner going to cope with that ? Heck, the music on the radio hasn't been the same since Buddy was killed and now you tell me that we are going past 1966, the world is coming to an end for sure...
Seriously though, I'm a member of TBucket site and we have slowed right down to almost a crawl and I find that very sad as we have a good thing going with some excellent people but that is what happens. I was " talking " to Don ( Itoldyouso ) recently on another site where he mentioned about a Mustang drag/street car his Son was building and that it wouldn't be accepted on that site so I suggested he come back here but sadly he must of decided no. I too miss Kens awesome building but atleast Steve has managed to keep us reasonably upto date with it at times. I noticed the Steve has been quite too with the Willys build but I remember he and Sue were coming back to the States for a holiday so that may explain that.
Oh well, looks like you fella's are stuck with me annoying you all.
What is the story with the line directly under the last sentence and how to you guys get that space ?

YEP! Don't wanna see a blank page.. Build something and share it with the rest of us, don't have to be Rod related specifically, we enjoy all things mechanical, even models (plastic or metals).
And keep up with the great advice and helping others! That's always a recipe for success imho....
Sites are always cyclical, member and post rates rise and fall, I still prefer "OUR" quality advice and helping, to the quantity of BS many other sites offer. That's what has kept me here, members who offer genuine honest opinion(s) and facts all with the (usually) highest respect!

i think we`re kind of moderately successful .. i`m on a few other sites and the worst is one where 90 % of the time i am the only member online and there may be 10 visitors .. and the most successful is where there is 250 members and 2000 visitors at any time .. we stay in the 12 member and 250 visitor range .. i myself just have had nuthin going on this year .. my stang is good to go .. my pinto`s are good to go .. i really want a ford truck project to do this winter .. i have my leftover 429 sitting in the floor .. one just cant find a good deal anymore on a project vehicle ..i blame barrett jackson and those half dozen overnite fixem up car shows on TV for that .. i gave 2 grand for my 80 pinto and very nearly traded it for a 300 $ truck just to have something to do ...iv`e used up all my sick days at work .. can i call in dead ?

Why don't you track down a guy in Shelbyville,Kentucky..Jeff Kaiser..He's afflicted with the Blue oval sickness,too..Never know what he has around,,apart from his F250 super cab,for sale.. He might know of something..Micah 6:8

As one of the "old timers" who has not been around in a while. I understand what your are saying... There is so much good info on the internet these days it is hard to find time to come here to be social. Lots of great info here and really smart advice too... Unfortunately, messages boards have become out dated. Heck most of the younger crowd can't even compose a complete sentence without a bunch of crazy text abbreviations! Wow I starting to sound like a curmudgeon!
