Our last show for the season.

Went over a couple towns and walked around the last show (of any size) and thought I'd share some pics with you. I only took whatever grabbed my attention...

I went with the guy who helped upholster my car. He did the black rpu above.

Can you tell what the leather upholstery came from?

HMmmmm.. how about a flathead or nailhead motorcycle? Or should I call them drag bikes? I wouldn't be caught dead on one of these!!

Or an MG with a Flathead 60???

I was able to chat briefly with this owner. Drag car and apparently quite rare now.

I know it's hard to see but the frame of the red rail is made from Torque Tubes! Welded towards the front but just behind the motor, you can see a joint bolted together! Or how about a Fiat with a Desoto Hemi?!?!

I was going to say maybe he robbed a "Member's Only" store back in the 80's or early 90's and tried to disguise the evidence......

I guess he finds "seconds" or damaged coats??? Once he had enough of them they stitched it all together and made seat covers... It takes all kinds! On the spare tire, look close at the hub cap.. it's a turned block of oak... complete with worm holes! I could only shrug and walk away!

Don't think mine will have any multi-colored flames unless they are blowing out the headers!!! Nice car, though and always great to see a Ford in a Ford, especially in the fat-fendered world where it's not that common!

Ah yes, sometimes car shows are like art galleries......one piece can leave you awe struck with it's beauty while the next can leave you with a raised eyebrow saying WTF!!
