NASCAR in Phoenix this weekend
Just got back in the house to catch a bit of Cup practice for the race on Sunday. Good news is the weather is great, track is excellent.....bad news is that dang Johnson kid is fast again!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Phoenix is a fast track too, I can't see anyone beating Johnson, so it's theirs to lose! I'd like to see Kenseth make it happen tho'.. he's my sentimental favorite at this point. Shame the Ford engineers didn't squeeze the front end for that little bit of drag as it's hurt them all season. Hopefully they get to revise it over the winter.

Final practice will be today, Kenseth was fairly quick. So many factors go into a race, but given the opportunity Kenseth does have the car and crew to make a race out of it anyway.....Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Kyle Busch is doing his usual Phoenix thing, he owns the place! Looks like in Nationwide both the driver's championship and the manufacturer's championship is going to have to be settled at Homestead!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Well the race is fast and Harvick is STRONG! Some of the Fords are racey.. Keselowski and Edwards but Biffle has fought into the top ten..

A roll of the dice didn't pay out.. so close! Oh well, at least he had a chance at a win! A lot more than any of the Fords have done recently.

Best part, I hope all the jerks who said that because Kevin was moving to Stewart's team next year that he would just coast this year and Childress wouldn't give him the best equipment!!!! The two of them have raced together since Earnhardt was killed, and neither gave less then 100% this year.....
Now it's down to Homestead, Jimmy has 28 points on Matt.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Kinda weird with Kevins remarks about the bosses grandkids being handed everything.. I guess it's time they parted company! He has a very slim chance to win the cup! Slim, but it's there!!
NHRA is on now.. Courtney just lost to TASCA! GO BOBBY! LOL..

How different the standings might look if the "old" Kyle Busch had been behind Johnson during that first lap bobble...........Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.
Merry Christmas ya'll
