That Hamilton is simply too cool! Gotta love the simplicity, and talk about light weight. That $2 price is a hoot, but then ya' gotta consider that the cost of a loaf of bread was probably less than a nickel.....Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I personally prefer a truly "old school" gun

Steve, it's a new all steel barrel instead of the brass lined original.
Bill, I'm intrigued by the "Rev/Civil war history" comment about your musket....care to elaborate?
.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

Based on the time sold in the country, different initials and certain owners and makers marks we have a general dea where it started it's life and where it end up at the end of both wars. Based on the elaborate etchings in the brAss plates, we also know this was an officers musket. Ram rod and one butt screw are the only two items not original to the musket.
Have yet to see another one like it in any of the auction catalogs or any of the Rev/Civil war firearm publications. Much rarer than my old Brown Bess's... Sadly it sits in the closet collecting dust these days

Here's acute little piece that was pass down to me from my father.. Don't know much about it, sits in a case in my office and tends to be a conversation piece."Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhil
You've not been around here for a while, Charlie, but when you were you had GREAT projects!! Happy Birthday!!
