Can't post pictures to my Gallery - new member need help

I'm new to the forum and would like to share some pictures of my build. I can't post pictures in my Gallery. I get a message that I have exceeded my number of vehicles - I don't have any vehicles in my Gallery.

As Bill pointed out in one of your earlier posts just before Christmas ( New member from Colorado ) there are some "filters" in the system that do a lot to block spammers trying to capture data here. One detail is that a new member cannot post any type of attachment, be it a link to something out on the net or a picture file, until they have passed a minimum threshold number of posts. I've seen it stated that the magic number is ten posts, but I've never seen the specific number from a moderator. My advice is to reply to a few threads, get some interaction going to show "the system" you're a trusted spot on the IP universe, and things will open up pretty quickly.

When you do get past the minimum there're some basic steps in this old thread ( http://www.clubhotrod.com/shop-talk/...tml?highlight= ) that explain options for attaching picture files to posts. IMHO posting to a thread is far more interesting than posting in a gallery. I never go into a gallery looking for a specific picture, as I have no interest in scrolling through 500 pictures to find the one I want to see. I prefer to have them tied to a thread that has an appropriate title that I can try to find. Just my $0.02.

Times 2 on the gallery pics. I never go into someones gallery to wade through stuff. Like many others, I prefer putting pics in a thread.

Kind words, thanks. Is the minimum number of posts set at ten, Bill? And are they counted as threads started plus individual replies, or is there some other magic in the background?
