    Hell, we here in New Zealand just don't appreciated how lucky we are with our " Wild Life " . I think the only thing that can stink real bad is a road kill oppossum but then the KFC people gather them up too quick to recycle so they don't even get too smelly.

    Maybe we need to lobby for a few breeding pairs to be exported, just for educational purposes! Then when someone calls you a "polecat", or you hear someone referred to as "...a dirty polecat" in an old US Western movie you'll have a good point of reference to what is meant....     I wouldn't have a clue what stink/smell a skunk makes, guess we're lucky down here.

    That might happen in the cities, but out in the rural areas a lot of folk pick the possums up, take them home and pluck them.
    Possum fur is worth around $90 / kg, ( a kg is about 2 lbs.,) so that gets sold, and the naked body fed to the chooks.
    Chooks love them!
    Especially when, after a few days, all those wriggly little whitebait appear!
