so does anyone else remember that we just so conviently happen to have 2 guided missle ships in the Black Sea area? left over from the socalled security for the Winter Olympics??????

putin is determined to rebuild mother russia to the days before the soviet collapse . he will do so without challenge unless the eu stands up to him. he is expanding his military while ours will be gutted . it took years to rebuild after carter gutted it .

It's not our fight, not our place to tell other countries how they should be run.... Seems like people would learn that eventually!!!!

I wish they would cut the military waaaaay back--- Then one some idiot wants to start another damn war to support the great and might Military Industrial Complex they could bring back the DRAFT!!!! See how much the rest of the country supports are interfering in stuff that's not any of our business!!!

No reason to have such a huge standing army anyway....If there's another World War it won't be fought with tanks and troops, it'll all be over in a heartbeat when the big boys start throwing Nukes around the globe!!!

We have a very large National Guard, the same "militia" that the founding fathers were so strongly in favor of......These forces are ready to go with little notice, the last CF's in the Mid-East had these guys deployed. Major problem was, the idiots who were in power decided we should conduct 3 wars at the same time!!!! The only thing any of these conflicts did was kill way too many young men and women. When we're out of the Mid East, things will go back to being just like they were, back to the days of the Old Testament!

Just who in the heck do the people of this country think they are that we (the US) should have the right to go anywhere in the world to impose our will and our way of life on them??? Many of these folks still aren't convinced, even though every conflict since Korea has been nothing more or less then economics-based to support their much beloved Military Industrial Complex, the same one President Eisenhower warned of us in his farewell speech after his Presidency!!!

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting the results to be different!!!!! This country seems to be over-qualified on that count!!!!

When I'm elected President, by executive order I will sign into law that every immigrant will drive an North American built vehicle and ALL picp up trucks will be oem equipped with a rifle/shotgun rack across the back window!!!!!!!!Your license plate will have a code that lists your level in the chain of responsibility for the national militia ------------


Instead of baseball/football summer camps, every 16 year old will attend a 3 month long basic training camp before returning to there 3rd year classes where they will have classes in trade type work---plumbers, electricians, carpenters, brick layers, mechanics, welders, farming-----------the next summer they will go work in those jobs before returning to school for their senior year--enough of these part time retail jobs in the shopping malls--------------after the senior year, away to a 6 month tour with a military unit for advanced training interlaced with additional training in fields of work that would include logistics(truck driving,etc) machine operation(bulldozers,cranes,back hoes) medical (ambulace, orderly,nursing)------------

Looks like Putin just flipped Obama the bird; shows how seriously the rest of the world takes us. I say we worry about our own side of the pond. Like my mama used to say," Hold your hand up in front of your face. Everything on the inside of your hand is your business, everything on the outside of your hand is none of your business."

Personally, I think our next conquest should be the Grand Cayman Islands.... Then build a world class dragstrip, put Jerry Clayton in charge of air transportation, and make it an "entitlement" that every drag racer over the age of 60 be given free transport, lodging, accommodations for his car, and a healthy subsistence allowance to keep things going!!!!! Nostalgia Top Fuel, Funny Car, and Pro Stock races on the third weekend of every month. Drag racers between the ages of 40 - 60 would be given a substantial "discount entitlement" if they should choose to participate!!! Spectators over 60 get a free ride, too!!!!

Lets spend our tax money on something really worthwhile!!!!!!!!!

Now before all you Americans start aiming your guns at me for being a New Zealander and having a opinion, let me say I realize that is a Hot Rod site and we shouldn't comment on Politics or Religion. But I will comment on what Dave has written and if the so called Christians read , study and understand their Bible, they will know that Jehovah God will not allow Earth to be destroyed. So I honestly believe there will be no large scale nuclear war but in saying that wars all around the world will have to come to an end soon and how that is going to happen, sadly only God knows as us humans have proved since Adam that we ,mankind can't rule mankind. Good to hear though that some in America are waking to the fact of who is really pulling the puppet strings of the Government, CIA etc.. Just my humble opinion again...

if the american people had not stepped up to the plate we would have lost wwii . only by the grace of god were we able to send enough ships across the Atlantic. we damn near lost both sides of the war. with the attitude of many americans today i can not see a rubber drive or Rosie the riveter today.
