Why is it ???
Been meaning to ask why the text in my posts sits on the black line unless I hit return and put a dot in ??? Other people post and I don't see them doing anything extraIts aweful lonesome in the saddle since my horse died.

It's because you don't have a 'like' under your own post.
Everybody else does.
Stops ya clicking 'like' a half dozen times to make it look good!johnboy

I do not see any Black Line - nor any difference in you're posting either.
Might be your computer?

I believe that it's like johnboy says, on your own posts (when you look at them on your computer) the whole line for the "Like" button to the lower right is missing, but it appears for everyone else. Everyone else sees your post just as you see theirs with a space between text and the bold line - the last line of text, then a "space" line with a smaller "Like" to the right, then the bold black line dividing between the text string and the signature area. When you do the extra lines and the period it spaces the bold bar down several lines below what we see on everyone else's posts, which is no big deal. It's how it seems to me, anyway.Roger

So using Joe's post immediately above as an example, on my screen it shows his text line ending with "....joe", two space lines, one dot, then one space line and the line with "Like" before the bold black line. I expect that on Joe's screen it shows that single dot immediately above the bold black line. I believe our own posts look "different" than anyone else's posts.Roger

Mike, the color of the segregating line, along with the general color scheme of the screen, is determined in your "General Settings", toward the bottom of the selection box where you choose, "Forum Skin" (no, not foreskin). If you choose "CHR" as your Forum Skin the line is black. If you choose "Default Style" it is a very light blue/gray, I think. There are four or five to choose from, depending on the "look" that you like. I use "CHR", which seems to be very similar to "Use Forum Default", as I like a lighter screen background.
For any that don't know where this is found, click "Settings" in the upper right, then in the selection box to the left side click "General Settings", and then scroll down to select the skin that you want to try, finally "Save Settings" at the bottom to remember your changes. You can go back & forth at will.Last edited by rspears; 01-18-2015 at 08:12 AM.
