Joe,
God bless and comfort you and your family during this time. Reading your post tells me you have your trust and faith in the right order. Looked at her picture, what a sweet, kind lady she must have been.
+ Prayers and best wishes for you +I have two brains, one is lost and the other is out looking for it

Thanks everyone, been kinda hard dealing with it all but I knew it was coming & am quite surprised mom lived as long as she did. She had several serious health problems pop up over the past 10yrs that took a tole on her both physically & mentally. She had been in & out of the hospital more times then I care to count. In the end I promised her that I would do what she wanted & that a machine would not be used to keep her alive. The day before she passed she had a good day, was up in the chair seemed full of life & call me & the wife by name & we had about an hour visit. My brother had the same great day with her that evening & we both couldn't believe how well she looked & seemed. 24hrs later things had turned 180* & upside down and everything went down hill. My brother called me with the news & we made plans, Later that night my brother & I met at the hospital & we instructed the doctor to remove all life support. It was one of the hardest thing I ever have had to do for a loved one, but I had made a promise that I was going to keep. With my brother & myself were by her side she was gone 10 minutes later. She was no longer in pain, gone to a much better place and her two boys were with her on the next stage of her journey.Donate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

It is a tough decision when one has to make it Joe.....but as we all know it's the only decision that can be made. Again, condolences to you and the rest of the family. Seems some of us have been on here long enough and got to know each other enough that when one of us loses a family member we all lose part of our extended family.

I can't imagine how tough that decision was to make, but you did the right thing. That's really nice that you both were there with her as well. My condolences as well.Ryan
