Salute to American Graffiti( 42 years old) Car show in Petaluma
Well as always May is my favorite month around here with the Local car show honoring the filming of American Graffiti hear in P-Town. Always plenty of beautiful rides to see. I'm sure 95% of them are here every year, but there is always a few new ones as well.
Quite a mix of original classics, hot rods, muscle cars and movie remakes.
My camera battery went dead within minutes of when I started to take phots, the spare was dead, and then just to make things complete, the polarizing filter had a mysterious huge crack in it! So my first few shots in decent morning light have cracks in them. Fortunately was able to go home, recharge and get another Pl. filter and still make it back in time to get some shots.

Thanks guys, I missed the best light of the day with the camera problems and by the afternoon there were so many folks out that it made it really hard to get any full length shots without people walking into me or in front of the camera.
The nomad was my favorite, but the photo shows the messed up polarizing filter. When I took the filter off to get a cleaner shot, the battery died, some days!" "No matter where you go, there you are!" Steve.

Thanks for the pictures! It definitely looks like a great show! That slant 4 looks like a small block chevy. Did some one rotate it up and wack off the other half?Ryan

Thanks Guys, wish I had more time at the show. lots of cool rides. One was missing though, this hand made racer for the salt flats. When I asked a guy from the same car club, he told me the owner had passed away this year. I asked if he ever had a chance to race it and he told me he didn't think so. I remember chatting with him at the last two shows, and he said he thought that little 4cyl would do 165 on the flats! Neat guy, sad to hear he's gone. Felt like an important rodder left us.
