Another week has come and gone... Its Friday! Watcha Doing on the Hot Rods?
The older I get the quicker these weeks are clicking by. It seems like an hour ago that I started last weeks its Friday thread! So while It is Friday and Im looking forward to tonight when the young guns will be by to work on their rides, it is always ententaining to hang with them and give time tested advice! If I play my cards right I might be able to play the Tom Sawer's card and get some help replacing the forklift water pump tonight .
Saturday is catch up day for the seat orders placed these past few weeks.
Sunday is Church and tinker on the boat. I need to pull the outdrive and install new rubber throughout. The exhaust bellows are going to be a major pain on the 302 so a few hours of church should put me in the right frame of mind for the nasty job especially when things go south! LOL
Maybe we should tell what we got accomplished last week rather than what we hope to do this weekend? Might be a whole different story!Last edited by M.T.; 06-20-2014 at 11:53 AM.

Family - Get kids to the pool, chocolate store, and some board like game. Truck - try and start welding one floor panel in. Remove dented fenders. Sand on new fenders and hood. Crush old gas tank. Clean the garage. Make short chord with plug to go male 240 to two female 120s.The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.

Ouch - - and even worse is you don't drink anymore - - - LOL - - - enjoy enjoy enjoy enjoy
As for me, I'm still trying to figure out if I can go with 15" Cragars on the Fairlane. If my son and grandson will let me pull two off of his Mustang to see if they will work then my problem would be solved and I could place my order.

On that note I picked up a couple original Cragars not long ago with a new set of Hoosier dot cheater slicks on them... I got them home and realized they were 16"? I didnt even know they made 16" C's back in the day? Anyway they will fit nicley under the rear of the 63 pro street sprint Falcon. I cant find specs of anytype on these wheels any where... Any Cragar Gurus here?Bob, Bob, & Bob

BobX3 - I agree with finding data on those Cragars and my one eyed vision sure ain't helping the googling either - - - another factor that I face with the Furd is that the original wheels were 13s so they weren't planning on any expansion of any kind it seems LOL.

Gonna be a laid-back weekend for us; Sunday is the mid-winter Christmas dinner for the Taranaki Morris Minor Club at the Stony River Hotel, (which I wouldn't miss for quids; those people are crazy!) and on Monday we fly out initially to Auckland, from there to LA, then on to Heathrow, and from there to Glasgow.
I'm picking She Who Must Be Obeyed and I will be looking for a cigarette, a beer, and a bed by then!johnboy

Friday night (Tonight)... Get back into town around 10pm and finish making my battery cables on the 32, take a lot more measurements for my custom Bengels seat , and then sit and stare at the truck for several hours.
Saturday... Go pick up my Mig from my Father-In-Laws place and get to filling holes on the cab of the 32.
Sunday... Try like hell to find something to do so I don't have to go to the meeting with the florist for our wedding.Last edited by sprayed99; 06-20-2014 at 05:18 PM.

I'm still in a bit of a funk about the '33 putting me on the roadside, and riding three hours home in a flatbed tow truck. I haven't washed the bugs off from the mis-adventure two weeks ago and have only driven it twice since it went back together. Thought about cleaning it up yesterday and running in to a Friday night cruise at a south KC hangout, but got called mid-day to help one of the boys who's moving into a new house this weekend and didn't get home in time, plus it started looking/sounding like we were going to get another storm.... We're in a weather pattern of potential thunderstorms that makes planning difficult. Looking like it could bust loose any minute again this morning so I may venture out to the barn and try to get some welding done on the '32 steering drop mount.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.
