Yyup,,that's typical of old appliances,Joe.. A cooler was built to last then,,along with most other things that were produced from local factories.. Not like the stuff in the stores nowadays.. Even the ordinary light bulbs that would last for a year or so,,are failing after several weeks.. Junk..Micah 6:8

I'd never heard of Griesedieck until a buddy from my Corps days was looking for some when we returned from Okinawa. I thought he was pulling my legKen Thomas

The sign that caught my eye is the "Play Pool Downstairs". Overall the place reminds me of the couple of bars back in the small mid-west town I grew up in.
.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

We left in late 59 so I was three & half, BUT we spent a lot of time in Larrabee during the summer & at Christmas. Somewhere in the pics my parents have is one of me at 2 or 3 sitting on the bar & one of my dads buddies letting me take a sip outta his beer bottle. Found some pics w/late 30's, early 40's cars in them that my dad & his brothers owned. I'll try & get them so I can scan & share them w/all of you.Donate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE
