Guess I just don't see where a pic not posting occasionally or some other features that most of us never use anyway not working is a big deal. Wouldn't it work just as well to send these complaints to Bill and/or Brent instead of making it a post where everyone can chime in and make everyone else get upset about the site? Guess I'm just too computer stupid too know what's such a big deal anyhow. Not the first time a post like this has started and about all I've ever seen them accomplish is a bunch of hurt feelings and people leave. I'm a Hot Rodder, not a computer geek. Guess I'll just trudge along and enjoy the good friends I've met here and the wealth of information about Hot Rods and life in general that I've gained from them.
I also appreciate the fact that the site is free unless an individual should choose to make a voluntary contribution. When somebody gives me a gift I was taught it's good manners not to complain about it! Silly me anyway.......Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Most forums are free unless you believe enough in their worth to pay to support them. When you pay it is to help the owner/s pay for the cost of operation and keep them running correctly. It helps to off set the costs for those that dont pay but use it often. If it doesn't bother you that the forum isn't working correctly thats your choice to compromise and look the other way. All this is a mute point if it was just fixed.

I Beg to differ with you on your assessment of yourself. A contributor with 20,200 posts makes you a computer geek as well. Whether you want to wear that badge or not.So sit on your hands and continue to say nothing and hope it gets better... WOW!
What if your Hot Rods worked like this forum works. It would work just good enough to get to the gas station and back home, Maybe. Oh well, thats good enough... dont fix it. Folks would watch you drive by and shake there heads and sniker. I think not. This forum is a hot rod, a hot rod that needs a tune up. Thats it.
I'm not trying to piss off anyone here but this seems to be the only way to draw attention to these issues. If the page views for this thread for 2 days is any indicator of its relevance I would have to listen. I do have a forum of my own and know a little about what is involved in keeping one up and running. It's one thing if some one is continually griping about issues that don't exist. Its another if several people gripe once in a while with issues that really do exist. Chances are If your not a computer geek you most likely shouldn't have a forum on the net in the first place? With just a little effort these glitches could be rectified and no one would ever ever say anything about it again, People wouldn't get pissy, people would stick around and live happily ever after. Just Fix It?
Flip side of the coin is they may not care that people come people go... no biggie? I have tried PM'ing them about advertising and other issues on the forum... no responce at all, nothing but crickets? Ive even contacted a few mods for direction on who to contact. Maybe my private messaging is turned off or they are just over the whole thing??? I have PM's enabled but no answers?
No more input about the forums issues from me. Think the point has been made and I have no intent in driving this into the ground. It's frustrating and is enough to make this car builder / computer geek think really hard about logging in at times. I love the folks here, I love the feel of the forum with its kick back kinda of feel, I like everything about it with the exceptions of things listed above. Heck I even paid up to be a member knowing this place is stumbling around on 7 cylinders. Just fix it... please. Thanks for hearing my frustrations.

Well, it's funny you mention this, having just picked the car up from the engine builder, she decided to not start again after 58 total miles (yes, engine was broken in properly) in to a 700 miles relocation trip.

A little Karma (no pun intended) when the rollback sent to fetch the car was actually also painted Grabber Orange.

Running hot, really hot at highway speeds. Then up and quits. Originally a vapor lock issue (first 33 miles) and one week of trouble shooting (new fuel pump, new filter, check timing, new premium 3 row HD radiator, heat sink shields below the carb for starters) and the next 25 miles all highway, ran hot, stopped at the local truck stop, would not fire until it cooled, plenty of fuel this time, but just did not want to fire. Engine builder has it at his shop, he has more experience in dealing with this than I do sitting in the parking lot at the truck stop with limited tools...
